The records document internal administration and policy; state and federal legislation and the development of regulations; conservation education and projects; cooperation with the federal government, other state agencies, and private organizations; national, state, and local conferences and meetings such as the annual Conservation Congresses; acquisition under the Outdoor Recreation Action Program (ORAP) and management of parks, refuges, and other public lands; water resources and environmental protection; wildlife and forest management; and research and surveys.
